Just maybe not enough newer slots for my liking. It wasn't so bad that I couldn't sleep or anything, but still, I think a good deep clean may be in order if it was previously a smoking room. Granted, I am a former smoker and my sense of smell is pretty sensitive. I Also think this room may have previously been a smoking room? It just had an old smoke smell - like it was previously a smoking room and was converted to non-smoking but maybe none of the drapes or furniture were replaced, so it had that slight stuffy smell of old smoke. If I come again, I'll definitely request a room at the end of the hall. Fortunately, I sleep with earplugs, so it didn't wake me. However, the room is right off the elevators and directly across from the housekeeping room and the housekeeping staff slammed that door over and over again going in and out all morning. We both slept really really well here both nights. The bed was super comfortable and was our favorite feature. The drapes did well at blocking out the light so we were able to sleep in. The only negative I find is the ramp to the parking garage, very narrow. The room was a good size with a large bathroom. Although Harrahs Joliet doesnt have many lower denomination poker and keno machines,I still enjoy my time there, The place is clean and there is a variety of games.
